Tradpak are one of the UK’s largest Reconditioners of Industrial packaging, based in Leeds and supplying and collecting nationwide they have 50 staff, 9 artic vehicles with trailers and over 400 customers and suppliers.

The development of TASK, a customer service and administration database was the largest IT project Tradpak had ever undertaken.  It ambitiously aimed to replace over thirty non connected spreadsheets by a single, user friendly relationship database.

Five potential suppliers were chosen and sent the briefing document.  What immediately impressed about CCL was the personal and friendly approach by Ray Claridge who instead of emailing a reply rang to speak personally.  This resulted in a site visit to properly understand our requirements, where Ray demonstrated a technical competence and methodology that encouraged confidence in CCL’s ability to deliver the project fully.  This professional and friendly approach was matched by a competitive quotation which resulted in CCL being awarded the contract.

Throughout the 12 months the project took to be completed, CCL maintained good contact and provided excellent feedback as the scope and detail of TASK changed and developed.  Despite these changes the project was delivered on budget and although it is early days yet, it has revolutionised our approach and service to our customers.  Information is now easily and quickly entered and accessed and the various aspects of delivery, collection, transport, production and reporting are all linked, with data only entered once and available to all aspects of the business.

Tradpak would have no hesitation in recommending CCL and Ray Claridge in particular for any database project and in developing TASK they have demonstrated their ability to understand and simplify a large complex administration, sales, production and transport system.
