Add Guest

From this screen, a new Guest is added. As this would normally be performed at the time of booking, the booking form appears at the bottom.

If the customer is booking in response to a previous mailshot, this can be entered by pressiong the Special Deal button. This will assist in assessing the effectivity of a mailshot.

Booking Preferences

If a customer has special preferences, these can be recorded here. This information can then be used if the customer makes a subsequent booking.

List Customers

Provides a list of all customers on the database. By clicking the left-hand column, all details for the selected customer are displayed.

Search Customers

Searches can be performed on customers by First Name, Second Name or postcode. Again, by clicking the left-hand column, all details for the selected customer are displayed.

Add Mailshot

Mailshots can be created to target past or potential customers. Selection criteria can be based upon the following:

All Customers - target all customers on the database
By Postcode - target those guets who live in selected postcodes
Guests who have not stayted since a selected date - e.g. list all past guests who have not stayed in the last 2 years
By booking month - e.g. Past guests who booked in April.
By age range - e.g. all past guests between 30 and 45.
By type of stay - e.g. all past guests who stayed on Business
By Customer rating - customers could receive a rating by your hotel. For example, valued customers could be given a rating of 5, and a past guest who only stayed for 2 nights may be given a rating of 1. This mailshot could then be used to target customers of rating 4 and above.
Those giving permission to use their email address - only target those who have given permission.

Once criteria have been set up, the option to exclude certain customers can be exercised.

After setting up the mailshot recipients, the document to be sent out can be created.
